— DESIGN —
I’ve been fortunate to work for, or create from scratch, some incredible brands. i’ve been part of product, uX and marketing & Communications ORGS and worked as agency lead/vendor POC.
Core to every great brand is its design system, application and governance — whether digital, material or environmental. At Fred Hutch, my team and I were integral to all aspects of the non-profit’s rebrand, activation and ongoing extension, which focused on accessibility and inclusiveness across platforms.

The best vehicle for both sharing our design standards and ensuring the governance fo the brand across teams/platforms/channels was the creation of a Design System Manager, which was particularly powerful for documenting the UI of our AEM-based component library:
LPL FINANCIAL
At LPL, I lead three Product Experience teams, each with a slightly different design systems. The challenge here is somewhat unique as one product is consumer-facing and can be either white-labeled or LPL-branded at the discretion of the customer.
The others leverage the design system for a highly-federated B2B enterprise application that up to 30 development and product teams can be working on at once. As the PX org and entire company grows rapidly, we’ve leverage product-specific DSMs that we update after each program increment to reflect those designs that have gone into production.
